So I see my desktop turn into a Virtual World Desktop.
The operating system's diplay manager, i.e Explorer is it? KDE Gnome etc, handle all the protocols, as usual.
The icons become my HUD. The toolbar remains. My display is whatever/wherever.

So when I want to view a file or start an application, it's found in my inventory (Desktop menu) and the cam view
zooms to the prim (folder)  it's contained in to display it or it displays in the HUD (Desktop).
Almost the same as now. But the Browser or Viewer has been superceeded and the desktop redefined.

But when I put on my VRheadset I can be in there doing the same as the prims are my links to whatever I want.
Of course it's a designer build with the best scenery and my office looks fabulous with all I need.

And of couse, OpenLife is where the centre of the action will be! :)

It's just thinking out loud and I would be happy if it went this way.
I might add a treadmill so I can actually walk and a fan for that cooling seabreeze.
