I may have missed this, but what are the cpu/memory/diskspace specs for running a standalone? Are there any suggestions, rules of thumb, minimums, etc?

Minimums For Ready to Run Standalone:
- Windows XP/VISTA (32bit)
- .net Framework 2.0
- at least 512Mb RAM
- min 1.6Ghz CPU
What changes...
Openlifegrid Servers are generally 8 core, 8GB RAM Dual Clovertown Xeons. Why?
-The more prims you add the bigger the Memory Footprint of the region will become...
-The more prims you have the more complex the 'scene' will become this increases physics load... (CPU/RAM)
-The more people concurrently in a region the CPU/RAM cost rises dramatically...
-Scripts tend to occupy 1 thread per script this can be very costly on processor usage...
Bandwidth:
Openlifegrid.com is on a Gigabit link.... however, clearly you are unlikely to have such a nice connection in your home. Sharing your ready to run with your friends you should remember.
-The maximum DL speed (which needs to be your upload speed) is 1500kbit/s this is generally beyond most home connections... If 3 friends were to jump into your shared ready to run region there may be some interesting results as they fight for bandwidth.
Disk Cost:
The largest Disk cost is not usually assets as these are compressed to jp2 format before storage, but usually terrain editing (this can bloats to GB's in hours if intensive editing is performed).
In saying this Ready to Run usually occupies about 60~70Mb blank and a common size for storage is a sqlite db of around 100-200Mb.
I hope this helps in your question.
