I did manage to get it (mesh rezzing) to work a while back with an older release from RealXtend's sourceforge file download location- but it seems to be unavailable now. I guess we'll try to keep track of what we can do with ReX in OpenLife in this thread.
If anybody's had problems using .mesh format, the OGRE website has an exporter link- the basic idea of the process is you generate an XML file from a mesh, then you take that mesh and use one of OGRE's command line tools OgreXmlConverter.exe to turn that XML file into a binary that you can upload.
Seems simple after you figure it out, but I know from a standpoint of never having used a game mesh export before, the process was new to me. Later on maybe we can cover animations and materials :) I'm getting into armatures now so I'm really excited to play with Avatar 2.0 and animation as soon as possible.
If anyone has anymore information on what you can do right now with ReX in OpenLife- please post!
