Walls vanished- sort of.
I am in the process of building a rather large structure. I had Interior walls in place and doorways cut out. OL did a restart then one of my long walls with several doorways went missing. They did another restart and another wall went missing. The odd part is that I cannot walk through space the missing walls once took up, as if they were still there. I turned on "Highlight transparent" but the missing walls did not appear. I canot select anything there. To make it all worse, There is one dooway that I can walk through in one direction but not in the other. This makes it diffucult to even try to rebuild the walls. :( So now what?

Re: Walls vanished- sort of.

logoff, clear cache, log back in.

If problem persist, request a region restart from Sakai.

Re: Walls vanished- sort of.
I have logged on and off and cleared my cache several times, the region has been restarted at least twice yet the problem continues. Today I built a new wall then decided it was not in a good location so I removed it. Even though it had been removed, I could no longer walk across the space where the was had been located - sort of an "invisible" walll yet it does not show up on "Hightlight Transparent.'

Re: Walls vanished- sort of.
I wish it were all that simple, sending in a "support ticket." The rule for sending ina support ticket is, at present, "... ticket submission is available to Private Cluster Owners & Foundation Residents. For non-residents please try the chat-room, forums or wiki, we are working on another solution for all other users in future. Alas, I am neither a Private Cluster Owner nor a Foundation Resident so I am left to seek answers on my own and I do thank and appreciate all who took the time to offer suggestions and try to help. I'll keep hoping and looking for a working response though and thahks to all of you. :)

Re: Walls vanished- sort of.

I know exactly what you mean.. I believe the 'hidden' prim issue as I call it, will  be fixed in time at some magical upgrade.

I am not 100% sure if it is Si, Inventory severs  or physics. (ODE)

I have seen it here

I have seen it in XP and Vista standalone.

I have seen it in my Linux private sandbox.

I have seen it  from SVN build r5977 to SVN build r6045 and not availables

RULE #1

NEVER USE SECOND INVENTORY WHERE YOU BUILD.

make a lil corner for it or travel to Sandbox, logoff, use 'last' in Si then logon, TP home and continue building,

RL..now with 100% less lag!
