Brilliant. I can't believe I wasted all that time when it clearly says Port 9000 in the Simulator log. Great job Kimi. changed the address to 9000 and worked like a charm.

**Please note new users still cannot login as we don't sync between the website and the grid. We are working on a few things at the moment and then will turn the 'syncing' on. Allowing our new 5000 strong community members to join the rest of us in the grid.

So if new users still cannot login? why are you wasting our time?

Hey folks :)

Last nihgt I downloaded and used the Xtend Viewer. I am brand spanking new and it was my first time in Oenlife - had fun trying to de-Ruth - today I went back to see what further improvements I could make :) - but I cannot get inat al and get a bug error report. Tried unistalling and reinstalling and it comes back. I was in SL no problem so it is not my system... Any suggesitons?

Hi Callum- I know it sounded vague- but it actualy was that vague- it said something to the effect of OpenLife has encoutnered a bug error and has to close. That's pretty much it. I will try it again tonight and hope i don't have a reason to share the actual words :D.... But if it still crashes out, I will come up date this.

I can't get the realXtend viewer to work at all, it opens, but either crashes or just don't connect to the grid. And yes, I have taken all the steps told in wiki. I have Vista 32 2 Gb RAM with more than enough graphic card, and can log into SL with no problems. I can't get the standalone working either, it starts fine, but then the viewer claims it can't connect.

I can't even download the standalone viewer. Both the exe and the zip versions says "The page cannot be found."

Can I suggest FileFront as a potential mirror?

I did manage to find a "realXtend viewer" at realxtend.org, but I have no idea if this is the "OpenLife Edition" or whatever.

I can't seem to log on using the standard SL viewer, either. I've followed the instructions in the wiki verbatim. Is the system down or something? Or do I just need to wait more hours before it will work?

In my case, I do open port with firewall software.

The port is not same of what is necessary to play SL.

For those being confused by the SL opening screen when trying to connect to OpenLife, try this line:

"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -loginuri http://logingrid.net:8002/ -loginpage http://logingrid.net:8002/?method=login -multiple

@Sakai: I don't know how, but you can change the loginpage to show a webpage, just like SL ;)

Hi I'm new here :) similar problem

I was trying to make an SL shortcut but get this message:
The name c:\program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe"-loginuri, etc, specified in the Target box is not valid. Makes sure the pasth and file name are correct

I'm not any kind of expert so can you help me out there? I have;

1, "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe"
2, shortcut to that Secondlife.exe target
3, R15_1_OpenLife.exe
4, OpenLifeR15
5, shortcut to OpenLifeR15
6, 3DX Studio Server Ose
7, the PDF 'ready_to_run_standalone'

I can login to OpenLife and Secondlife using OpenLifeR15 without problems
but I cant seem to alter my shortcut ! perhap I'm thick or is because the shortcuts to a copyrighted SecondLife.exe ? I ran 3DX while logged onto SL, and 3DX politely gave me a tip, asking whether I had permission to run 9000?
